Angry over the killing, hundreds of Yadav’s supporters blocked roads and burnt tyres. The shops were closed, public transport haulted and even private vehicles were less to be seen on the roads. The situation was tense in the area untill special armed security forces were deployed in the area to take control. As per the resources some special aorders were also passed on the spot to bring the situation back to normal.

Yadav's family members, close family associates and supporters however have said that his murder was a preplaned political killing by his rivals; no names have been suggested yet.

It is being discussed that Yadav had a heated argument onThursday, the day before, during Lok Sabha polls over Supaul seat and he was even threatened for life by the rivals. Police has taken note of the same as a statement of the family.
